The ORABA Journal Club is an informal discussion on a different topic each meeting, lead by a BCBA®. Come talk to other practitioners about how the topic informs your work, ask questions and… Feel free to come, hang out and discuss even if you don’t have time to read all of the articles!
Please pick one article that you find most interesting and read it thoroughly. We will each do a quick synopsis and discuss anything we thought was interesting and then relate it to cases we are currently working on (generally, without discussing PHI, of course) or to other topics we are studying or working on. This meeting is open to students, RBTs, RBAIs, BCaBAs, BCBAs, BCBA-Ds and anyone else interested in the topic who has read the articles. If you are certified and would like to collect some CEUs for your participation, we offer 1 CEU for the BACB for participation at select meetings throughout the year. Once the next CEU meeting has been announced, if you’d like to participate and collect the CEU, you will need to read the required article and answer some questions about it before the club meeting using this form. Then afterwards, you’ll be asked to fill out a shorter feedback form and then we will issue your CEU certificate. Journal Club CEUs are free to ORABA members and $__/each to non-members.
Please see our calendar for the next scheduled club meeting (on the 1st Sunday of approximately every other month.) If you are having trouble accessing any of the listed articles, electronic or print copies will be available at the journal club meeting or contact us to help you find access before the meeting. Please RSVP on our Facebook page or sending us an email , but definitely come even if you haven’t had a chance to do so.
